Fusion Welding of 60/52 kg rail joints in 3/10 rail panel by SKV process as per Railways Manual of Fusion Welding of Rail by Alumino thermic process 1998 and IRS T-19-2012 corrected up to date Under supervision of RDSO approved agency /Railways supervision with Railway's supply of welding equipement, welding portion with accessories duly adjusting sleeper spacing (three sleeper on either side of each joint) and adjusting gaps for welding, preparation of rail ends for welding, fixing of moulds, clamps, preheating equipment, chipping with Rly's weld trimmer, finishing of welded joints Railway's profile grinder to required tolerances including painting of weld collar with contractors epoxy paint for a length of 150 mm on either side of weld collar duly aligning and string lining 3 rail/ 10 rail panel in track/cess lifting and supporting rail panel on wooden blocks to create working space respacing sleeper before /after welding, removing fish bolt with nut , ERC, liner, rubber pad and keys etc to facilitate welding and refixing them after the welding, gauging and packing the sleeper to correct cross level after welding and providing necessary closure Rail with fish plates and bolts and allow traffic duly supporting new welds on wooden blocks and shifting of welding equipment from one place to another place with all lead, lift ,descent using contractor's own labour, tools & plant, consumables such as Kerosene, petrol and epoxy paint etc including posting of look out men and protection to track as directed by the Engineer in charge at site. The cost is inclusive of supply of labour (minimum 2 moulder, 1 aligner, 2 hammer man and required no unskilled men to assist welding party). Supply of Petrol @ 1.5 Lit per joint In Case of Cess welding rail panel Should be supported at on 10 wooden blocks on either side to prevent movement. Note: 1) Welding portions, weld trimmer and profile grinder will be supplied at SE/P-Way /Depot. Contractor has to make his own arrangements for transporting the same to the site of work and maintain it in good working condition at his own cost 2) Fuel and Operator required for Hydraulic weld trimmer and profile grinder should be arranged by the contractor and on completion of the work Hydraulic weld trimmer and profile grinder should be handed over to the Railways in good condition If any deficiency noticed, the cost will be recovered from the contractor.
