NS-3-Assembling, linking and laying of BG PRC fan shaped points and crossing (Turn outs) 52kg/60kg, trap, Diamond crossing and Scissor crossover with New/ SS rails on PRC sleepers as per approved IRS drawings in other than running track conditions as per direction of Engineer and in accordance with the provisions contained in the special tender conditions, ensuring correct spacing, including cutting and straightening of lead rails, drilling of holes for fish plated joints, fixing distance blocks & stretcher bars, fixing of check rails etc. with all standard fitting and fastenings. The item includes the marking of sleeper spacing on rail gauge face with approved quality paint/colour/stencil as directed by Engineer in charge including squaring of sleepers in points & crossing assembly, gauge, alignment, longitudinal and cross level etc. complete, including greasing/oiling of fish plates, fish bolts and nuts, leg of ERCs, inner surface of MCI inserts, Gauge face of lead Rails, Stock Rails, Tounge Rails, CMS Crossing. (K.oil, black oil, Grease etc. is to be arranged by contractor at his own cost), providing spherical washers and provision of correct expansion gaps according to standard temperature 3 prevailing at the time of linking including free lead upto 500 meter for all PRC sleepers, switches, crossing, lead rail, leading of all P. way fittings from site store of the contractor at respective station or lying in the Section, with all lead, lift, ascent, descent or any other obstruction, handling, re-handling, crossing of line etc. in station yard on new/existing formation as required including dressing and rolling of previously laid track ballast of required cushion, katcha packing & required grading with ballast to bring track to fairly good geometry and final tolerance as per special tender conditions and specifications in non-running track. The item includes fixing of hand lever for movement of switches and movement from signal point of view and setting properly where it is required, Machinery work for cutting of stud bolts/stretcher bar bolt up to required depth for proper opening and housing of points and crossing. Bolts will be supplied free of cost from the store of SSE/C/P. Way at site etc. including all labour and materials as a complete job. Necessary S & T Fitness of Switches have to be made with the S & T Department and provide necessary assistance to S & T Department.Note: - (i)The work of assembling, linking and laying shall be done during before non-interlocking or pre non-interlocking period. (ii)The Item includes fixing of Hand Lever for movement of Switch and movement from Signal point of view and setting properly where it is required. (iii)25% payment will be made after linking and joint S&T fitness of switch on cess before Pre interlocking periods. (iv) 25% payment will be made after laying Lead portion, CMS Crossing & turnout sleepers (Laying complete turnout except Switch assembly) at required location. (v)Balance 50% payment will be made after completion of all activities as complete jobs.

Way material properly at SSE/C/P.WAY Store/ suitable location as directed by Engineer in charge with free lead upto 500m including working in traffic block during night time, as per direction of Engineer and in accordance with the provisions contained in the special tender conditions, ensuring correct spacing, including cutting and straightening of lead rails, drilling of holes for fish plated joints, fixing distance blocks & stretcher bars, fixing of check rails etc. with all standard fitting and fastenings. NS-6 Handling, lifting, loading, leading, unloading and spreading of 65mm gauge machine crushed hard stone ballast from the existing stacks lying along the cess/within railway boundary/ other land and putting the same on new bank manually, donkey labour or by tractor/truck or any other means in straight /curved / point and crossing etc. Rate will include all lead, lift, ascent, descent, handling, rehandling, crossing of running track (safely), nallahas, streams or any other obstruction coming while working including all other charges i.e. taxes, royalties, octroi etc. making approach road wherever required for leading of ballast on new bank with contractors own tools labour etc. complete as directed by the Engineer in charge including a lead of 200mtr on either side. The ballast shall be spread initially in a layer of 150 to 300mm thickness (as directed by Site Engineer) for linking of track and further ballast shall be spread after linking of track to make proper ballast profile as per ballast profile shown in IRPWM (with all correction slip up to date) for single line BG LWR track on PRC sleepers with contractor's own tools & labour as a complete job. Note: - (i)During lifting operation of ballast complete stack, clean ballast will be cleared. (ii)(ii) The payment shall be made for the actual quantity of ballast measured in the stacks. (iii)If ballast stacks lying on opposite side of new formation, lead will be measured along track & nothing extra lead will be paid.

NS-7-Two rounds of Manual Through packing inclusive of boxing, packing, dressing and providing required ballast cushion 250/300/350mm as applicable and as per stipulated profile for LWR / SWR / Fish plated track / curves, point and crossing, traps as per IRPWM or as directed by the Engineer-in Charge 7 including 1st& 2nd packing at required intervals including squaring of sleepers, ensuring correct spacing, gauging, slewing for adjusting alignment, packing, repacking of joint sleepers, longitudinal and cross level etc. complete to bring the track to required tolerance so as to make the track fit for a speed of 45 KMPH including all lead, lift, handling and re handling etc. of track points and crossing under working traffic conditions or on newly laid track/ turn out/ trap points as a complete job.

NS-8 Complete item rate for two rounds of Machine packing on all types of track in main line, loop line, siding, straight, curve including point and crossing, Trap by railway owned Track Tamping Machine to make the track fit for sectional speed including all pre-tamping, post temping work and boxing as per relevant CE 8 circular/ Railway specification. The rate shall include cost of periodical reconditioning of tamping tools, provide all consumable, cost of diesel and leading of the same to the site required for track Machine, if required by TTM staff, boxing and dressing of track and any other job incidental to tie temping work. The rate also includes the Two (02) nos. labour daily on each machine, which will be provided by the contractor free of cost. Note: (i)Suitable track tamping machine with required crew will be provided by Railways free of cost. (ii)De-Railing Switch (Trap) will be treated as ordinary/ straight track.

NS-19--Dismantling of existing points and crossing, traps points, dead ends, SEJ on all types 19 of track structure including rail, sleepers and fittings complete in all respects in running line or non-running line and stacking the dismantled P. Way materials properly within station limit with 500 Metre free lead. All the released materials, fittings, turn outs & fish plates bolts etc. will be segregated and deposited in SSE/C/P. Way store or any other place as directed by the Engineer-in-charge including all lift, ascent, descent, or any other obstruction, crossing of lines etc. as a complete job. Leading of P. Way Materials beyond 500 M (lead will be measured along track) shall be paid separately under relevant NS item. Note: - (i)The Point and Crossings have to be dismantled within specified period of traffic blocks, gas cutting if required during traffic block has to be arranged by the contractor including pre-arrangement/preparation for jammed fittings. (ii)75% payment will be paid after dismantling of track/turnout. (iii)Balance 25% will be paid after stacking of dismantled released material as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

NS-25-Loading, leading, unloading and stacking of P.Way material New/SH/released i.e. Rails, all types of Special PSC/PRC sleepers (Except PRC Line Sleepers, Level crossing sleepers, Check Rail Sleepers for curve and Guard Rail sleepers), wooden sleepers,ST sleepers, C. I. sleepers and any other type of sleepers, SEJ, glued joint or any other type of P.Way materials with all lead, lifts, ascent, descent, crossing of nallahas, Railway track, L-crossings or any other obstruction whatsoever along the proposed bank, keeping in view of safety of track as per direction of site Engineer & guidelines as per Special conditions of contract. 25 Weighing will be done in presence of railway representative and authorized representative of contractor from nearest Dharam Kanta to certify the load / weight at loading point and unloading point as per requirement from any place to any place by shortest possible workable route (Payment may be done for new materials as per standard weight). The rate also includes loading, unloading, stacking of material in measuring and countable position as required by Engineer in charge. "The lead shall be measured along the shortest possible route to be decided by the Engineer in charge." Note :- Re transportation of materials over 500 M free lead if required from level crossing / yard to stacking place (Store) or up to site of work as per unavoidable site conditions and as per direction of Engineer in Charge will be paid separately in this items.

NS-26--Loading, leading, unloading and stacking of PSC Line Sleepers/Level Crossing/Guard rail sleepers 60 Kg from any place to any place by shortest possible workable route to be decided by the Engineer-in-charge with all lead, lift ascent, descent, crossing of nallahas, Railway track, L-crossings or any other 26 obstruction whatsoever along the proposed bank, keeping in view of safety of track as per direction of site Engineer & guidelines as per Special conditions of contract. The rate also includes for loading, unloading and stacking of material in measuring and countable position in Railway premises as required by Engineer in charge. Note :- Re transportation of materials over 500 M free lead if required from level crossing /yard to stacking place (Store) or up to site of work as per unavoidable site conditions and as per direction of Engineer in Charge will be paid separately in this items.

NS-27--Unloading and stacking of rails from full / part rake of BFR / BRN immediately on 27 arrival / placing of rake in siding/ loop line/ main line during free time/ block time and stacking the same up to 50 mtr from track stacking will be done in straight position and in countable position as a complete job. Note: 20 rail panels are to be made in upright condition and nothing extra will be paid for this.

NS-37--Slewing of existing main running BG track / loop line of 60kg/ 52 kg/ 90R on PRC / CST-9 / ST / Wooden sleepers with any sleeper density including opening out of ballast, releasing of jammed fittings such as pandrol / keys / cotters etc. recoupment of missing fittings, slewing of track, correcting sleeper 37 density, maintaining of alignment of track on straight /curves with all track parameter such as cross level, gauge, versine, super elevation, squaring of sleeper etc. putting of ballast after screening from slewed track Including katcha packing as per direction of Engineer in charge with all labour & material as a complete job. The work will be executed under traffic block conditions & nothing extra will be paid for wastage of labour due to non-availability of traffic block. Payment will be made on the basis of track KM. Rates are also be applicable for cut & connections where required.

NS-57--Supplying and fixing/ refixing of speed indicator board size 1.00 M equilateral triangle made out of 2 mm. thick Aluminium alloy sheet conforming to IS: 736 in size shape etc. As per Annexure 8/4 of Para 807 & 808 of IRPW manual 2004 with back support of 25x25x3 mm. Angle iron. The entire face of the sign board shall be covered with yellow high intensity encapsulated retro reflective sheeting with heat Lamp vaccum 57 machine. The speed figures shall be out of black sketched film and provided on the base sheet with HLVA process including all leading, loading, Taxes, octroi Labour and materials and including stainless steel Bolts & Nuts. etc. complete job. and fixing of boards with the help of angle iron post of size 75X75x6mm and of height (Average - 4.50 Mtr) so that the bottom of boards is at 2.10m above rail level after fixing in ground as per Rly specifications. The rates include the cost of all types angles, nuts, bolts, rivets, washers etc. as required with all contractor's labour lead and lift etc. complete as per instructions of Engineer or his authorized representative.

NS-58--Supplying and fixing/ refixing of W/L & CEE/FAA (Marked whistle Alloy board made out of 2 mm. Aluminium sheet conforming to IS: 736 in size 600 x 600 mm. in size each board shall have back support of angle iron of 25x25x3 mm. with stainless steel bolt and nuts. The entire face of each board shall be covered with high intensity encapsulated retro reflective sheet with heat lamp vaccum machine. The W/L & 58 CEE/FAA boards shall be cut out of scotched film and provided on base sheet with HLVA process including all leading, loading, unloading, Taxes Octroi, Labour & material etc. complete job and fixing of boards with the help of angle iron post of size 75X75x6mm and of height (Average - 4.50 Mtr) so that the bottom of boards is at 2.10m above rail level after fixing in ground as per Rly specifications. The rates include the cost of all types' angles, nuts, bolts, rivets, washers etc.as required with all contractor's labour lead and lift etc. complete, as per instructions of Engineer or his authorized representative.

NS 60 Manufacturing and fixing rail/Tie Bar posts or any other type of posts on bank or side 60 slopes with CC foundation, if required, as per drawing and mark over these posts correct rail level/alignment at locations as directed by engineer in charge including cost of painting with paint of approved shade & quality with all labour, cutting of posts as required, leading of posts to the site, material except Rails, Tie Bars which will be supplied free of cost at the store of SSE/C/P. Way at site or in block section or at any other locations.

NS-65--In-Situ fabrication of Glued Joints 52 KG as per guidelines in Para 5.0 and Specifications of material as contained in 'Manual for Glued Insulated Rail Joints - 1998' with latest CE Circulars/ correction slips of Northern Railway Hd. Qtr. at nominated place in Station yard/Block section with all T & P and C& P, labour & consumable material misc. and incidental works related to the job including cutting and 65 straightening of rails, drilling of holes for fish plated joints as per direction of engineer in charge at site to his entire satisfaction as a complete job. The work shall be complete in all respects and all the application will be done in uniform sequence. This item includes all lead, lift, ascent, descent or any other obstruction like - crossing of bridges, water logged areas / track, platform, points etc. on either side of embankment as a complete job and nothing extra will be paid for this.
