End cropping /Cutting of rails 60Kg/52 Kg/90R/75R new or SH with contractor's own blade and machine, however, if avaialble the Railways may providethe Cutting machine on hiring as per the extant rules. The 21 rate is inclusive of all lead and lift etc. complete in all respect and as per special conditions of contract. NOTE: (i)Only machine cut hack saw blade shall be permitted.(ii)The cut shall be truly vertical/square in both vertical and horizontal directions. (iii)The cut made out of square are not payable. (iv)The rails to be cut may be of 110/90/72 UTS.

Cutting of rails of all sections by means of gas or flame cutting with contractor's own tools and 22 plants, labourers, taxes, lead and lift etc complete as oer direction of Engineer in charge and special conditions of contract. NOTE:(i) The contractor shall maintain the cutting/drilling register, which shall be signed by AEN(C) / XEN(C), SSE(P.Way) & contractor's representative.

Drilling 32 MM / 28 MM dia holes including chamfering in all rail sections/Joggled fish plate with contractor's own labourers, tools and plants, all lead and lift etc. complete as per direction of Engineer in charge and special conditions of contract. Per Track

Fabricating and erecting dead ends, rail fencings etc. including painting with atleast two coats of 25 synthetic enamal paint and one coat of red oxide primer with contractor's own tools and plants, labour, lead and lift etc complete as per direction of Engineer in charge.NOTE: i) In case of erection of rails fencing only cement concrete payment shall be made under respective USSOR items. ii) Rails with fittings shall be supplied by Railway at free of cost.

Manufacturing, fabricating and erecting in position the various boards including painting, writing and engraving as per Railway's drawings or as directed by Engineer in charge viz. curve board, mattam, SEJ board, flag station boards, indicator boards, major and minor bridge board , termination indicator boards and other various boards as per requirement with contractor's own tools and plants & material, labourers, lead and lift etc complete. Nothing extra shall be payable other than the rate accepted. (i) The payment for excavation and 26 concreting shall be paid under relevant USSOR items. (ii) Rails and fittings if required for the post shall be supplied by Railway at free of cost. (iii) The steel shal be free from any dust, rust, foreign particle etc. (iv) The payment shall be made only after actual utilization at site as per approved drawings. (v) No piece shall be used except otherwise necessary and that too as per actual requirement. (vi) The steel shall be from SAIL/ TISCO/ JINDAL/RINL/ ESSAR only. With Contractor's own steel. NOTE: (i) Fabrication of boards with contractor's own materials.(ii) The angle used for boards will be 50 x 50 x 6(MM) and MS sheet shall be 3mm thick as directed by Engineer in charge. (iii) Rails for stands will be supplied by the Railway free of cost, however no payment for fabrication/bending/cutting etc. shall be payable.

Removing and screening / scarifying of existing ballast of MG/BG section from formation and 27 stacking it along the nearest possible distance from track and putting the same in the track for BG standard including dressing and boxing after measurement of stack as per special conditions and as directed by Engineer in charge. Per Track

Providing and Fixing Hectomatre/ KM/ Gradient post and fouling marks (including painting and 29 writing) in RCC/CC in M-25 grade with contractor's own design along the Railway track on cess as per Type Plan P.W(M) 101 and as directed by Engineer in charge with contractor's own materials including cement, steel, paints, centering and shuttering, fixing, placing steel and all types of taxes etc complete. The rate is also inclusive of necessary excavation for embedding of pre-cast Hectometer in C.C in 1:3:6 mix as per type plan.

Providing Retro reflective Luminous strips 25mm width on various boards on the already existing 30 boards and new boards between the entire section as per direction of Engineer in-charge. The colour of luminous strips shall normally be yellow/ White/ Red. The Rate shall include contractor's own material, labour, tools and plants etc. complete. This work has to be completed prior to CRS Inspection.LC's Whistle Boards

Loading, transporting and unloading of Rails 52 Kg/ 60 Kg /90R/75R, New/ SH/Release , SEJ/Glued Joints/ Check Rails, Points-Xings, Tie Bars, Fittings and all types of sleeper etc. from Any Location with contractors 35 own means of transport i.e Truck/Trailors, crane, labour, diesel, T&P , etc. to Various Locations on this Section in yards and between stations along the Track, including all operations involving lifting, transporting, unloading, stacking/spreading on cess at specified or as directed by the Engineer In Charge complete in all respect.Lead up to 1Km including loading,unloading & stacking. NOTE: (i) Loading and unloading of other than Rails and sleepers will be done by without mechanical means, the payment shall be made @ 50% of accepted rate for this item.

Transporting and unloading of all types of sleeper. from Any Location with contractors own means 36 of transport i.e Truck/Trailors, crane, labour, diesel, T&P , etc. to Various Locations on this Section in yards and between stations along the Track, including all operations involving lifting, transporting, unloading, stacking/spreading on cess at specified or as directed by the Engineer In Charge complete in all respect.Lead up to 1Km including unloading & stacking. Note: If sleeper loading done by factory.

Loading, transporting and unloading of Rails 52 Kg/ 60 Kg /90R/75R, New/ SH/Release , SEJ/Glued Joints/ Check Rails, Points-Xings, Tie Bars, Fittings and all types of sleeper etc. from Any Location with contractors own means of transport i.e Truck/Trailors, crane, labour, diesel, T&P , etc. to Various Locations on this Section in 37 yards and between stations along the Track, including all operations involving lifting, transporting, unloading, stacking/spreading on cess at specified or as directed by the Engineer In Charge complete in all respect. For each additional 1 Km or part thereof. NOTE:In this rates will be paid 100% for lead 1-100 kms, 95% for lead 101 to 200 kms, 90% for 201 to 300 kms & more than 300 kms rates will be 85 % of the rates quoted by Tenderer. Also payment will be made only in one rate slab as described above as per actual work done in kms.

Loading of ballast in the Railway wagon/Hoper from the stack available at station yard and between section with all lead/lift using contractor's own labour, machinery etc.NOTE: (a) The quantity will be paid as per the 38 net measurement recorded in the MB for a stack. b) The loading shall have to be completed within 48 hours from placement of hoppers. The average hoppers in rake shall be 20 Nos.c) In case there is delay in loading, then a recovery @ 20% of this item shall be done for each 24 hours. d) The rake shall be placed in the last line so that mechanical loading is possible. (e) The contractor shall have to be in touch with Engineer in charge for placement of wagons etc.

Unloading of ballast from Railway wagon/Hopper and spreading uniformally on track, formation, leveling, dressing boxing and making ballast profile as per B.G. standard for 250 / 350mm ballast cushion with contractor's own labour, tools, equipment, etc. complete as directed by the Engineer in charge. Per Track

As and when required by the Engineer incharge arranging of labours for various works such as 41 protection of track etc. with contractor's T&P, equipments, hand signal flags, spanners, hammers, etc. as per specifications, special conditions and detailed scope of work as furnished in the tender and directed by the Engineer incharge. NOTE: For the paying quantity, a total of 12 hours duty of a man will be counted a man day. Per Track

Unloading of rail/ panel, PSC sleepers, SEJ, GJ , Pts-Xings, fittings etc. from Railway wagons/BFRs 43 /Roller racks/Truck with/ without traffic block in block section or in station yard including removing them to avoid infringement to the existing track and loading the same in contractor's own vehicle, carting, unloading and stacking / spreading neatly in the side of yard/ near formation by mechanical means as per special conditions of contract & directed by site Engineer incharge. By mechanical means.

Fixing of joggled fish plate with fish bolt / nuts on welded joints at required location with contractor's labourer, tools and plants, all lead and lift etc. complete including transportation of materials from nearest station to site as per direction of Engineer in charge. Per Track

Provision of barricading with contractor's bamboos/casuarinas vertical posts of average dia 62.50 mm planted at every 2m interval projecting at least 1.5 m above the ground level and driven firmly inside the groundand with 3 horizontal bamboos/ casuarinas members of minimum 50 mm dia spaced equally including painting the verticals and horizontals with red luminious paints/strips at alternative bay on the barricades, removing 49 the barricade completely when no longer required with all lead and lifts etc. complete as directed by the Engineer in charge (all labour, material, tools and plants, consumables etc., to be supplied by contractor. NOTE: The contractor should maintain the barricading for the entire construction period & should dismantle it after the construction period as per instructions of Rly's Engineer Incharge. On completion of the work the above released material will be contractor's property for which 20% of the rate quoted for this item will be recovered form contractors bills.

Welding (AT) of rail joints on single rail/SWP/LWR/ 60kg/52 kg/90R for conversion in to LWR and removal of defective rail on cess in situ on CST-9/ST/PSC sleepers up to M+7 density with SKV process of thermit welding with Railway prefabricated moulds and Railway Thermit Portion. Welding will be done on cess/situ as per IRS specification T-19-1984 (Amended up to date) including all materials, skilled/unskilled labour requiredfor creation oil necessarygaps including including cutting of rails if required, grinding, alinging, levelling etc. track fit for 50 sectional speed. This will include unloading, equipment LPG/ Oxygen Cylinder, petrol, ignition matches, consumable stores and other ancillary items required for execution of work as per welding manual. This will be included lead of rail upto 200 mtrs. Welders having competency certificate will only be allowed. 25mm AT welding for rail joints of 60kg/52Kg./90R (90 UTS/ 72 UTS) on cess/ in situ. NOTE:-Payment will be made as under: (i) 80% payment will be released after welding and grinding. (ii) 10% payment will be released after USFD testing. (iii) 10% payment will be released after painting, numbering and completion of work.

Removing of existing sleepers from track and carting the same with fittings to the store of Sec. Engineer (C)P.Way including leading, loading, lift and crossing track, stacking etc. as directed by Engineer.

Insertion of PSC sleepers in existing track including fixing of fitting and one round of initial packing including all lead and lift involved for carting of sleepers available in stations area including crossing track and making fit for 20 Kmph with necessary packing. Per Track

Providing labour assistance for thermit welding of 52kg/60 kg rail joints by SKV / Flash butt welding 54 process unskilled component only with contractors labour equipment etc. including all unskilled labour required for the successful completion of work such as loading of P-way tools and plants to the site of work and depositing same after completion ,creation of gap, replacing /respacing of sleepers as required for welding, removal of traction bonds , picking of joggled / fish plates etc. complete for finishing items of work.

Providing 60kg/52Kg/90R glued joints in running track under traffic block (length 6.5m) at place 55 marked at site by in-charge including transporting glued joints, fittings, etc. from station to site and transportation of released cut rail and fittings from site to station yard with contractor's labour, T&P etc. complete. NOTE: This item is only for insertion of glued joints in the existing main line/loop line as required.

Assembling and linking of 1 in 12 Turn out by T-28 on cess including switch portion, lead portion and crossing portion with tongue, stock and check rail complete from sleeper No. 1 to 83 as per RDSO drawing No. RDSO/T-4218 on cesson the siding of existing turnout. This item includes (i) Transportation of PRC sleeper of Turn out including switch portion, lead and crossing portion from Rly. Siding /Depot/cess to the location of work with max. Average lead of 500 mts by contractors own means and tools and plants ensuring all safety and track circuit failure problem as directed by PWI -Incharge. (ii) Transportation of required rail crossing, lead. Switched portion (Stock and tongue rail) including fitting such as (Rubber pad , Fish bolts, Fish plates, screw, slide chair, 56 stretch bar, Gauge type plate, pandrol clips etc.) from Rly. siding/ Depot to the location of work with an average lead of 500 mts by contractor's own means and tools and plants ensuring all safety and rack circuit failure problem as directed by PWI- Incharge. (iii) Leveling of ground for Fabrication and linking of Turn out on PRC sleeper as directed of PWI-Incharge at same location necessary staging will be required so that Linked Turnout (Switch, crossing, lead portion) shall be on the same level of Existing Turnout in the track . This staging shall be repaired by the contractor for which necessary material like timber crib , C C crib, wooden block rail pieces etc. will be provided by the Railway. (iv) Linking shall be done as per direction of PWI-Incharge and making cut/drilling holes for completely all S&T requirement. (v) Any type of cut/drill for rails if required in dismantling shall be done by contractors own means for which no extra payment shall be admissible.

Cuting of 52/60 kg 90 UTS/HH rails by " Abrasive rail cutting machine" such asparner make or similar perfactly vertical with contractors own tools and plants including machine, blades, fuel, labour, leads, lifts, crossing of trcks, taxes etc. complete.

Supply and using cement at worksite : OPC 43 grade

Dressing Surface (average excavation or filling upto 15 cm) including removing vegetation in all kind of soil. Payment against this item is to be made only if it is not included in earth work item

Leading ballast, kankar, brickbats, stone-chips, shingle, stone boulders, block kankar, pitching 3 stones, rubble stones, laterite, coal, surkhi, dry mortar, sand, moorum, earth, manure or sludge, ashes, lime, debris, muck, malba, etc. for lead upto 25 km. Note : Lead under this item is payable when the same exceeds 500m.

Hiring and operating Multi-Utility vehicle of loading capacity one MT with sitting capacity of 4/6 persons, 4 strokes, 4 cylinders engine, factory-built metal body, cargo box type or passenger cabin type or both 4 (with 24 hours availability), including cost of fuel, lubricants, major/minor repairs, salary of driver, toll tax, all other tax complete, operation and maintenance including running upto 1200 km in a month. The vehicle shall run on pucca, kutcha road and along the track. The contractor shall arrange road permit for vehicles for all the States of operation, as per instructions of engineer in-charge and vehicle shall not be more than three years old.
