The rate is inclusive of cutting of Rails into free rails wherever required to enable transportation. (All labour, tools and plants, vehicles etc. are to be arranged by the contractor.) "Cutting of 90lbs and above Rail section (72/90UTS) either in the track or out side the track to 4 the correct verticle plane with rail cutting machine using abrasive rail cutting discs with all contractor's labour, tools, machinaries, consumable like discs, petrol, 2T oil, all lead lift, turning of rails, supporting of rail on wooden block, transportation to site, handling at site etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: Only RDSO/LKO approved rail cutting machine and abrasive discs should be used for the work.

Cutting of 90lbs and above Rail section (72/90UTS) either in the track or out side the track by gas cutting tool with contractor's own equipment, consumables, laboures, with all lead and lift etc., and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

"Drilling of holes in rails of 90lbs and above section (72/90UTS) either in the track or out side 6 the track to correct diametre, spacing and alignment including champhering of holes at site with contractor's own rail drilling equipment, consumables, laboures, with all lead and lift etc., as per the instructions of the Engineer-in- charge. " (a) 32 mm dia fish plating

"Drilling of holes in rails of 90lbs and above section (72/90UTS) either in the track or out side 6 the track to correct diametre, spacing and alignment including champhering of holes at site with contractor's own rail drilling equipment, consumables, laboures, with all lead and lift etc., as per the instructions of the Engineer-in- charge. " b)8mm dia for S & T Bonding Per Track

"Supplying and fixing of Grip expansion bolts of size 16x140/50mm including drilling of holes in the PSC sleepers as per RDSO Drg.No.T-2495 and fixing the MS/CI clips as per drg No.RDSO T-2524 of 9 approved sample etc.,complete with all contractor's labour, tools, plants, vehicle, crew, fuel and other consumables with all lead, lift, track crossings etc., as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at site. (for fixing Guard Rails) ( One set means, drilling of one hole, supplying & fixing of one grip expansion bolt with washers & one MS/CI clip)" Per Track

"Insertion of Railways glued joints of 60kg/52kg rail section in track wherever required as directed by the Engineer-in-charge duly cutting the rail in the track and providing fish plated joints on either end 11 under line block with all contract's labour, tools & plants etc., complete. Note:(1) The fish plates and bolts required for connecting glued joints to the adjacent rail has to be collected from the stores depot of permanent way inspector." (ii) The released materiaks shall be returned to the stores of permanent way Inspector with contractor's labour and transported as per inventory. iii) The rate will include the cost of cutting of Rail and exclude the cost of welding.

Assembling and laying SEJ with 60kg rails with special type PSC sleepers as per RDSO 12 drawing including cutting the rails by mechanical saw and laying the assembled SEJs at correct location along with closure rail duly removing the existing PSC/wooden track sleepers and inserting special type PSC sleepers and fixing all fastenings with all lead, lift etc., complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: I) All the materials indicated in the assembly drawing will be supplied by Railway free of cost at the stores/depot of concerned SE/P.way and the contractor shall make his own arrangements to lead the materials to work spot at his cost. ii) All the released materials shall be handed over to the stores of SE/P.way or at a convinient place as decided by the Engineer-in-charge. iii) One set consists of two numbers of SEJs.

Anti-corrosive painting of rails with one coat of Red oxide zinc chromate primer to IS: 2074 followed by two coats of bitumenous emulsion to RDSO-P-30-1996 to a dry film thickness of 350 microns (each coat to a minimum thickness of 175 microns) including surface preparation etc. complete as per the requirements of para 250 of IRPWM and the relevent guide lines issued from time to time with contractors supply of paints, 13 brush, consumbales, T&P, men, fuel, machinary etc., as per special conditions mentioned with all lead lift track crossings etc., under traffic conditions or other wise in tunnels and station yards etc,. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1) The painting of rails shall be carried out prior to TRR. 2) The unit of payment is Running metre of Rail, 3) The application of emulsion/paint is to be done for entire perimetre of rail section excl. top table and gauge face. 4) Approximate area of painting per mtr length of 60kg new Rails is 0.566 sqm (excl. top table and gauge face). 5) Painting of Rail should be carried out as per para 250 of IRPWM and the relevent guide lines issued from time to time.

Movement of p.way materials such as free rails, SEJ rails, switches,sleepers and other similar p.way materials by Railway's dip lorry / Rail dollyi n traffic block condition within the block section including loading 14 the materials to dip lorry from stack/alongside the trrack with a max. lead of 50mtr and unloading the same at the work spot with contractor's labour tools & plants including all lifts, track crossings etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer in charge. The work shall be carried out in the presence of Railway representative and contractor shall arrange look out men for the safety of men working & with out hindarence to movement of trains. (a)Upto 1 KM

Movement of p.way materials such as free rails, SEJ rails, switches,sleepers and other similar p.way materials by Railway's dip lorry / Rail dollyi n traffic block condition within the block section including loading 14 the materials to dip lorry from stack/alongside the trrack with a max. lead of 50mtr and unloading the same at the work spot with contractor's labour tools & plants including all lifts, track crossings etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer in charge. The work shall be carried out in the presence of Railway representative and contractor shall arrange look out men for the safety of men working & with out hindarence to movement of trains. (b) Extra for every additional 1 Km and part there off ( Upto 2 Km)

"Trucking out/shifting of 60kg four/five rail welded panel from flash butt welding depot to a distance of up to 1500 mtr by using modified rail dolly/dip lorries on track. The work is to be carried out under line block with block protection during day light only between ASK and BVR stations in SSE/P.Way/ASK section for the 15 purpose of TRR work. The modified rail dolly/dip lorry will be supplied by the railway free of cost and the same has to be returned back from the contractor after completion of the work, duly attended any repairs by the contractor. Work includes loading modified rail dolly/dip lorry leading unloading wherever required without infringing moving trains and keeping the rails head upward and longitudinally strtaight with all lead, lift, contractor labourers, tools and plants and track crossings if any etc., complete and as directed by the engineer in charge"

Trucking out the released p.way materials from work spot duly collecting the materials, 16 leading, loading into contractor's vehicle and unloading at SE/P.way/stores including stacking the materials at nominated places as directed by the Engineer-in-charge with all lead, lift.track crossings etc. complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

"Assistance to Railway's UTV working in loading of free rails and other p.way materials during the period of line block with all contractors men, tools & plants etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer in 17 charge. The contractor has to arrange sufficient labour with crow bar and other required tools etc., for assisting loading of materials by Railway's UTV such as keeping the materials near by track for accessing UTV, chaining/Tyeing the materials, assisting to lifting, orienting to position, placing on BFR, untyeing the chain/ hooks etc., complete.

"Pairing & butting 90lbs & higher rails out side track including leading up to an average lead of 500m including LH & RH sides duly keeping the joints to square and the gauge face inside by crossing lines wherever necessary without causing infringment to moving trains with contractor's labour, all toots & equipments 19 required and as directed by the Engineer in charge at site. Note: 1. If the work is done only one side, half of the rate for this item will be paid. 2. Interchanging of Rails are to be carried out wherever necessary as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge for which no extra payment is admissible. 3. Rail dolly will be given free of cost by Railway subject to its availability & contractor has to arrange the operators & look out men for operating the same." Per Track

"Carrying out ancillary works in SKV welding, such as removal of fish plates, cleaning of rail ends with wire brush and kerosine oil, removal of sleeper fittings, pulling of rails to create required gaps for fixing weld mould in position, aligning, lifting, levelling of rail ends as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and trimming of extra metal by double weld trimmers and filing welds by profile grinder so as to satisfy the requirement as per the manual of fusion welding specfication including respacing, repacking the joint sleeper with one rough packing and painting the collar of welded joints with two coats of bituminous black paint to IS specfication as per the procedure indicated in RDSO letter No.M&C/RCN/VI/1480 dt. 31.03.89 para (2) & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, driving back to the position the liners, pandroll clips,rubber pads, fish plates with bolt and nuts etc., and attention 21 to one rough packing of respaced joint sleepers as directed by the Engineer and making the welding joint number with steel punch of 5mm size on the non- gauge face of rail head etc complete under traffic condition during line block. " NOTE: i.The rate is inclusive of cost of petrol which is approximately 1.50 litres per joint and the same shall be arranged by the contractor at the site of work at his own cost. ii. The released fish plates and fish bolts & nuts shall be returned to the stores of section Engineer/P.way with contractor's labour and transport as per inventory. iii. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of cutting the rails and pulling back the rails as required so as to ensure requisite gap at joints for doing SKV welding. iv. The major portion of the work is required to be carried out during line block, while preliminary works are required to be done before line block as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. v. the work has to be carried out under line block and no extra rate is admissible in case of cancellation of line block. Per Track

"Providing Lighting arrangments with sufficient number of tube lights and incandescent lamps 23 for working BCM and other works during night hours including all labour cost, material cost, supply and maintenance of Generator of sufficient capacity (with an equivalant stand by) A minimum of 15 tube lights of 40W and 2 incandescent lamps of 500W capacity should be provided for each work day." (b) Incandescent lamps. ((Unit of payment per KW hour.)

Supply of Grease graphite of grade IS 408 in sealed container with inspection certificate issued from competent authority to site of work or store of SSE/P.way with all contractor's labour, transporation etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
