The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience as a Prime Contractor, in a Joint Venture, and as a Sub-Contractor, with specifications of the main Contractor, in their own country and other countries. The bidder should have experience in similar works, with details of the value of the total contract, date of award, date of completion, and contract duration. For works above Rs 5.00 Crore, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed, in the last five years, one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. The bidder should also have a minimum annual financial turnover (in all classes of civil engineering, construction work only) equal to 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last three financial years for works above Rs 5.00 Crore. The required qualifications and experience for personnel include: * Project/Work Manager: BE(Civil) with at least 2 years experience * Site Engineer: BE (Civil) or Diploma (Civil) with at least 2 years experience * Plant Engineer: B/E (Mech.) or Dip (Mech.) with at least 2 years experience * Quality Control Engineer: B/E (Civil) or Dip (Civil) with at least 2 years experience * Survey Engineer: ITI qualified Surveyor The bid capacity of the prospective bidders will be calculated as under: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N* 2-B) Where A= Maximum value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years N= Number of years prescribed for completion of the Project/Works B= Value of existing commitments on the last date of submission of bids. Values of works can be updated to current price levels by enhancing the value of executed works at a simple rate of 8% per annum.
