The bid capacity required in the given tender can be calculated using the following formulas: 1. Financial Capacity: 10% of the contract value. 2. Technical/Experience Capacity: One-third (1/3) of the estimated cost of the work for normal areas, and one-fourth (1/4) of the estimated cost of the work for Naxal / LWE affected districts. 3. Minimum Financial Turnover: - 60% of the amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs and less. - 75% of the amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is more than Rs. 200 lakhs. Additionally, the Assessed Available Bid capacity can be calculated as: A*N*M - B, where A = Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works, M = 2 or such higher figure not exceeding 3, B = Value of existing commitments and on-going works to be completed during the period of completion of the works. The bid capacity is also related to the ability to provide performance security, which includes a total performance security of 5% of the contract price, plus additional security for unbalanced bids, calculated based on the percentage of the bid below the estimated cost.
