The required prior work experience for the bidder includes work of a similar nature performed as a prime contractor over the last five years. The bidder should have completed a value of similar work that is at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work, which is not less than one-third of the contract value. Additionally, the bidder's annual financial turnover should be at least 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. The quantities of works completed should be at least 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. The value of similar work should be at least 1/3rd of the contract value, and the percentage of similar works completed is 1/3rd. The bidder should also have a minimum annual financial turnover of 67% of the DNIT value. A certificate of similar nature of work done, issued by the authorized Engineer-in-charge, is required, as well as a certificate of executed quantities of work done in the last 5 years, issued by the authorized Engineer-in-charge. The bidder should have evidence of access to or availability of credit facilities, which is at least 10% of the notified contract value, certified by the bankers. The bidder should have completed a single similar work/quantity executed in a particular year.
