The bidder is required to have prior work experience in works of a similar nature and size. The value of similar work should be at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work, which is not less than one third of the contract value. Additionally, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed at least one similar work of value not less than 1/3 of the DNIT value, with a completion rate of not less than 90% of the contract value. The bidder should also have executed in any one year, the minimum quantities of the major items of work, usually not less than 40% of the estimated quantity. The annual financial turnover amount should be 67% of the DNIT value in any one year of the respective value of work. The bidder should provide information on the quantities of work executed as a prime contractor of all main items of work described in the bid document, in the last five years. A certificate of similar nature of work done, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge, is required. The bidder should have completed a certain value of work, and submit a list of existing commitments with the value of remaining work as on the date of submission of the bid. The bidder's financial annual turnover for the last five years is also required, with specific values for each year. The total value of Civil Engineering construction work performed is also required, with certificates from the Engineer(s)-in-Charge for each year. A credential certificate for single similar work/quantity executed in a particular year submitted by the bidder should contain the full name, address, e-mail address, fax no. & mobile no. of the issuing officer and his head of the department.
