The required prior work experience for the bidder is related to the execution of civil engineering works. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed similar works in the last five years. The value of these similar works should be: - not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work for one similar work, - not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work for two similar works, or - not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work for three similar works. The bidder is required to have prior work experience, with specifications for experience as a Prime Contractor, in a Joint Venture, and as a Sub-Contractor, in their own country and other countries. For works where the bidder proposes to use named Sub-Contractor(s) for critical components or for work contents in excess of 10 percent of the value of the whole works, the bidder should provide information about the Sub-Contractor(s). The bidder is also required to submit a list of similar works completed during previous years, duly supported with performance certificates from the authority for whom the work has been completed, for Works above Rs. 10.00 Crores. Additionally, the bidder needs to provide evidence of access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources facilities, which is 10% of the contract value, certified by the bankers, and an undertaking that they will be able to invest a minimum cash of up to 25% of the contract value of the work during implementation. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the estimated value of the project/work, calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, using the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A* N* 2 - B).
