The class eligibility requirements to bid or participate in this tender are "A" Class and "B" Class.

The bid capacity required can be calculated using the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A * N * 2) - B Where: A = Maximum value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years (updated to the current price level) B = Value of current price level of the existing commitments & ongoing works to be completed during the next years (period of completion of works for which bids are invited) N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which the bids are invited (for work completion period less than one year, the value may be taken as one) Additionally, the bid capacity required is also mentioned in terms of Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and Bid Cost, with EMD being Rs. 10,000.00 for each bid, and bid cost ranging from Rs. 3,45,000.00 to Rs. 7,17,000.00. The total initial security, including earnest money, can be calculated as: Total Initial Security = Earnest Money + Further Sum, where Total Initial Security is 2% or 3% of the cost of the work. Formulas for price adjustments due to changes in the cost of cement, steel, and bitumen are also provided: - Vc = 0.85xPc/100xRx(C1-C0)/C0 for cement - Vs = 0.85xPs/100xRx(S1-S0)/S0 for steel - Vb = 0.85xPb/100xRx(B1-B0)/B0 for bitumen And also for pipe and labor: - Vpi = 0.85xPpi/100xRx(P11-P10)/P10 - VL = 0.85xP1/100xRx(L1-L0)/ L0 These formulas can be used to calculate the increase or decrease in the cost of work due to changes in the rates for these components.
