The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing specific categories of work(s) during the last 07 years. These categories are: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. For subletting of work, the subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The bidder needs to submit certificates and testimonials regarding contracting/technical experience for the type of job and provide a list of works carried out in the past and on hand. The bidder's average annual contractual turnover should be a minimum of V/N or V, whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work. The average annual contractual turnover is calculated based on the total contractual payments in the previous three financial years, as per the audited balance sheet. Work experience certificates from public listed companies with an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years are accepted.
