The bidder is required to have experience in similar work, with specific details to be provided in the qualification information. As a prime contractor, the bidder needs to provide information on construction works of a similar nature and volume during the last five financial years and the current year. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed as Prime Contractor or sub-contractor during the last five financial years and current year before the date of Notice Inviting Tenders at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of evaluation. For joint ventures, the lead partner must meet not less than 50% of the qualification criteria, and each of the remaining partners must meet not less than 25% of all the criteria. The bidder must demonstrate having experience and resources sufficient to meet the aggregate of the qualifying criteria for individual contracts. One-third and one-fourth are the percentages of similar works completed that are required for the bidder to qualify, with one-fourth being applicable in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts. 120% is the value at which road work completed under a specific scheme is counted.
