The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The bidder should have executed works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. They should provide information on the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited, in Rs. lakhs. The value of similar works completed should be provided, along with details of works in progress or contractually committed. For joint ventures, the lead partner should meet not less than 50% of the qualification criteria, and each of the remaining partners should meet not less than 25% of the criteria. The bidder should also have technical personnel with a degree or diploma in civil engineering and experience in road works, specifically 1-2 years of experience in road works, and at least one degree holder in civil engineering. The assessed available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at a rate of 8 percent per year. The bidder's available bid capacity for construction work should be equal to or more than the total bid value excluding maintenance. Proposals for subcontracting the components of the Works for construction/up-gradation, aggregating to not more than 25 percent of the Contract Price, should also be provided.
