Technical Capacity
The bidder is required to have prior work experience as a prime contractor or sub-contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder needs to provide information on work performed as prime contractor and sub-contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years.
The bidder should have completed at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work, excluding maintenance cost for five years. In case of Naxal/LWE affected districts, the value of similar work completed should be equal to one-fourth of the estimated cost of work.
The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this requirement.
A specific value of 161.99 lacs is mentioned, which is the amount that the bidder should have completed as similar work, if it is more than one-third of the estimated cost of works.
The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The bidder is required to provide details of works in progress or contractually committed, with certificates from the concerned officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent.
The bidder should also provide the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received over the last five years, along with a certificate from a Chartered Accountant. The bidder needs to provide the value of the contract and description of work for each project completed in the last five years.
