The bidder should have prior work experience as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder must have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. For technical personnel, the experience required is: - 2 years for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering - 3 years for a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The bidder is required to provide details of works performed as prime contractor or sub-contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years, along with certificates from the Engineer-in-charge. The bidder's annual turnover should be at least 60% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is up to Rs. 200 lakhs, and 75% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is more than Rs. 200 lakhs. However, if the bidder has executed road works under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated completion period, the financial turnover achieved on account of execution of road works under PMGSY shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this sub-clause. In Naxal/Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figures of 60% and 75% would be replaced by 50%.
