The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completion of works of a similar nature and size, with specific requirements such as: - Value of similar work: 1/3rd of the respective value of work - Annual financial turnover: 67% of the DNIT value in any one year - Quantities of work executed: 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. Additionally, the bidder should have completed similar works in the last 5 years, with a certificate of similar nature of work done and executed quantities of work done issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge. Relaxation in qualification criteria is available, with a minimum annual financial turnover of 25% of the DNIT value for unemployed Graduate/Diploma Engineers. The cost of completed works of previous years is given weightage of 10% per year based on the rupee value to bring them to the present price level. The bidder should demonstrate experience and resources sufficient to meet the qualifying criteria for the individual contracts, including work as a prime contractor in works of a similar nature over the last five years.
