The bidder is required to have prior work experience in works of a similar nature and size. The required experience includes work of a similar nature performed as a prime contractor over the last five years. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature in the last 5 years, with a value of at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work. The value and percentage of similar works completed are: 1/3rd of the respective value of work, 67% of the DNIT value, in any one year, as the annual financial turnover amount, 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. Additionally, the bidder should have a minimum annual financial turnover of 67% of the DNIT value in any one year, and should have completed similar works with a value of at least 1/3rd of the contract value. Relaxations are available for unemployed Graduate/Diploma Engineers, with a minimum annual financial turnover of 25% of the DNIT value. The bidder should have a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the Contract. Evidence of access to or availability of credit facilities (minimum 10% of notified contract value) certified by the bankers is required.
