The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed works of a similar nature and size, with a value of at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work in the IFB. The annual financial turnover of the bidder should be at least 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. The bidder should also have completed quantities of work executed as a prime contractor for all main items of work described in the bid document, in the last 5 years, with a minimum of 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. The value of similar work is required to be at least 1/3rd of the contract value. The bidder should have completed works with a value of at least 1/3rd of the contract value, but the exact amount is not specified. The percentage of similar works completed is required to be at least 90% of the contract value for a single similar work. Additionally, the bidder should have executed in any one year, the minimum quantities of the major items of work, usually not less than 40% of the estimated quantity. The cost of completed works of previous years shall be given weightage of 10% per year based on the rupee value to bring them to the present price level. A certificate of similar nature of work done, completed in the last 5 years, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge is required. Also, a certificate of executed quantities of work done in the last 5 years, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge is required. The bidder should have completed single similar work/quantity executed in a particular year. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the total bid value, calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years. For unemployed Graduate/Diploma Engineers of Assam, the minimum annual financial turnover is 25% of the DNIT in any one year, and exemption from single similar nature of work performed as prime contractor is granted.
