The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed works of a similar nature in the last 5 years, with a value of at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. Additionally, the bidder should have completed quantities of work as specified in the bid document, with a minimum of 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. The value of similar work should be at least one-third of the contract value. The bidder should also have executed in any one year, the minimum quantities of the major items of work, usually not less than 40% of the estimated quantity. A certificate of similar nature of work done, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge, is required. Furthermore, the bidder needs to provide a list of existing commitments with value of remaining work as on the date of submission of Bid. Specifically, the key personnel required to have prior work experience are: - Project Manager: B.E. Civil + 3 to 5 Years Exp. - Site Engineer: B.E. Civil + 1 Years Exp. Or Diploma in Civil Engg + 3 years Exp - Plant Engineer: B.E. Mech. + 1 years Exp. Or Dip. Mech. + 5 years Exp. - Quantity Surveyor: B.E. Civil. + 1 years Exp. Or Dip. Civil. + 5 years Exp. - Soil & Material Engineer: B.E. Civil. + 1 years Exp. Or Dip. Civil. + 5 years Exp. The bidder should have completed a single similar work/quantity executed in a particular year, with a completion rate of not less than 90% of the contract value. The cost of completed works of previous years shall be given weightage of 10% per year based on the rupee value to bring them to the present price level.
