The required prior work experience for the bidder involves successfully completing or substantially completing certain similar works within the last 07 years. The specific requirements include: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For subletting of work, the subcontractor should have completed at least one similar work costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The bidder must submit authenticated certificates from government or semi-government/public sector undertakings as proof of their experience, including details such as the name of the work executed, value of the work, payment details, and the period during which the work was completed. In the case of partnership firms, experience, solvency, and turnover should be in the name and style of the firm, with requisite information and copies of audited balance sheets certified by a Chartered Accountant. Work experience certificates from private individuals are not considered, but those from government organizations or PSU companies with an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years are accepted.
