The required prior work experience for the bidder is not explicitly stated in terms of a specific amount of time. However, for a contractor to be considered for upgradation, they should have worked at least for two years in the present tendering limit. If a report for any work is not available, it will be deemed to contain only 60% average marks. In case the number of MES enlisted contractors of eligible class as well as un-enlisted contractors is 7 or more, applications of only those one class below the eligible class bidders will be considered who have previously completed similar works satisfactorily and meet the criteria of up-gradation in respect of past experience of completed works and financial soundness.
