Southern Railway Tender

The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of the tender. The work experience certificate should be from a Government Organisation or a Public listed company having an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years. The eligibility criteria for a single similar work previously executed is any Civil Engineering Work involving Fabrication and erection of steel structures. In case of more than one L-1 bidders, the tender may be awarded to the tenderer having higher bid capacity. If the bid capacity is also the same, the tenderer having done more value of similar work in the last three previous financial years and the current financial year up to the date of opening of the tender may be selected for the award. Specific thresholds are mentioned for the cost of the work: one qualified Graduate Engineer when the cost of the work is Rs. 200 lakhs and above, and one qualified Diploma holder Engineer when the cost of the work to be executed is more than Rs. 25 lakhs but less than Rs. 200 lakhs.
