The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender. - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender. - One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. These similar works should have been completed or substantially completed during the last 7 years. For a subcontractor, the required prior work experience includes: - Successfully completing at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh. The definition of a single similar work includes signal interlocking works involving various components. Note that the value of a completed work or work in progress or work awarded but yet not started for a member in an earlier joint venture (JV) shall be reckoned only to the extent of the concerned member's share in that JV.
