The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in Civil Engineering construction work, with specific requirements such as: - Total value of work performed in the last three years - Work performed as prime contractor, or work performed in the past as a nominated/approved sub-contractor, of a similar nature during the last seven years - Average annual financial turnover equal to the amount indicated, in all classes of civil engineering construction works only, during last three years - Completion of similar works with a value of at least the amount indicated, with no specific percentage mentioned - Investment of minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the Contract towards the working capital The bidder should have satisfactorily completed similar works during the last seven years, with specific value requirements such as: - Three similar completed works costing not less than an amount equal to each of Rs. 222.92 lakhs - Two similar completed works costing not less than an amount equal to each of Rs. 278.65 lakhs - One similar completed work costing not less than an amount equal to Rs. 445.83 lakhs - Completion of at least 90% of the contract value as a prime contractor or as a nominated/approved subcontractor Additionally, the bidder should have prior work experience in operation and maintenance/construction of 2/4/6 laned highway for O&M contracts, or experience in bituminous work on 2/4/6 lane highway for special repairs/renewal work contracts. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value of: - Two similar completed works costing not less than an amount equal to each of Rs. 278.65 lakhs, or - One similar completed work costing not less than an amount equal to Rs. 445.83 lakhs. For specific roles, the required experience includes: - 5 years of experience in execution and maintenance of highway lightings for an Electrical Engineer - 5 years of experience, with 3 years of experience in highway property management and maintenance for an Incident cum Road Property Manager cum Route Operation Manager The available bid capacity is calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last 5 years, and the number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which the bid is invited, with the available bid capacity required to be more than the total bid value. Mentioned values and percentages include: - 10% of the Initial Contract Price for liquidated damages - 20% of the value of work not completed - 75% of the value of indented work in any 3 indents issued by the Engineer - 10% of the Contract Price for the Performance Security - 5% of the Contract Price for insurance amounts - 90% of the contract value as a prime contractor or as a nominated/approved subcontractor - 25% of the value of the work for minimum cash investment during implementation of the Contract.
