The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in using heavy earthmoving equipment and quality control in compaction of soils, experience in Mechanised granular pavement construction, experience in construction of asphaltic overlays, and experience in construction of Bridge works, including Bridge Works in Open Foundations & Pile foundations. The bidder should have successfully completed at least one contract (Highway Road and/or Bridge works / Airport contract) of at least 40% of the value of the proposed contract in any one year within the last five years, which is Rs. 159.30 lakhs. The bidder should also have experience in similar nature of work, including minimum quantities of works completed in any one year during the last five years, such as: - DBM/BM: 8.08 Cum - BC: 748.80 Cum The bidder should have prior work experience of similar size, nature, and complexity to the envisaged contract works. The bidder should have successfully completed work similar to the contract works. The bidder should have executed construction works of a value of at least Rs.75.00 lakhs and above in the Highways Department in the Government of Tamil Nadu. The bidder should have achieved an average annual turnover of at least 40% of the value of the contract applied for, over the last five years, which is Rs. 159.30 lakhs. The bid capacity to execute the work should be greater than Rs. 398.25 Lakhs. The applicant should demonstrate access to liquid assets (working capital, cash in hand) and/or credit facilities of Rs. 39.83 Lakhs. The available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of construction works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the current price level, and the value of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next 3 months. The bidder should have access to, or have available liquid assets (working capital, cash in hand) and/or credit facilities of not less than 10% of the contract applied for the construction, which is Rs.39.83 lakhs. One B.E Degree Holder in Civil Engineering with one-year experience in similar works and One Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering with five years’ experience in similar works.
