The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having work experience as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of the work for which the bid is invited. In Naxal/Left Wing Extremist affected districts, this value is one-fourth of the estimated cost. For Maintenance Engineer, a degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience is required for contracts more than Rs. Five crores. For contracts up to Rs. Five crores, a diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience is required. Additionally, for Lab Technician, a diploma in Civil Engineering with 5 years of practical experience is required for contracts more than Rs. Five crores. The bidder should also have achieved a minimum financial turnover, with at least 50% of it being from civil engineering construction works, equivalent to 60% of the amount put to bid if the amount is Rs. 200 lakhs or less, and 75% of the amount put to bid if it is more than Rs. 200 lakhs. In Naxal/Left Wing Extremist affected districts, the figure of 75% would be replaced by 50%. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, but the bidder needs to provide information on the value of contracts, stipulated period of completion, and value of works remaining to be completed. B is the value of existing commitments and on-going works to be completed during the period of completion of the works for which bids are invited.
