Conducting subsoil exploration by drilling bore holes of NXsize (3''/75mm) or higher size using TC Bit / diamond bit suitable for drilling all types of strata using modern diesel driven/Electrically operated mechanical means including refilling, reinstating the surface and disposal of muck, conducting all soil tests that is sufficient and necessary for determining the type of soil, bearing capacity and other geotechnical data required for design of foundations of ROB / RUB structures for suitable depth as per site conditions i. The above items includes all cost of machinery, its installation, all labour, supervision, consumable items etc. for routine operation of the Rig required for bore hole exploration ii. At all ROB/RUB site, six borehole has to be done, one each for abutment 2 and two for either approaches. Any change in above quantity will have to be approved by theEngineer in charge. The average depth of each bore hole is 20 metre and if any hard rock strata is met with, the boring can be terminated at 1.50 metre below hard rock. iii.20 metre depth of boring in an average indication and the borehole base price is arrived for this depth in all type of strata. If hardrock is met within lesser depths, there will not be any reduction in rates. Similarly, for where case of boreholes is required to go beyond 20 metre and say up to 30 mtrs. at isolated cases ( Number limited to 20% of total bore holes iv.All relevant soil testing has to be carried out such as Moisture Contents / Dry Density, Atterberg Limit, Specific Gravity, Grain size analysis including Hydrometer analysis, Direct shear Test, Natural Density, Consolidation Test, Unconfined Compression Test, Tri-axial Test etc., in approved Labs and finally 'N' values from SPT tests that is necessary and sufficient for classification of soil as well as to find out bearing capacity of soil at suitable intervals. Some tests like UCC, Triaxial test, consolidation Test etc. need to be carried out only in limited numbers as per soil conditions as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. v.The agency has to submit in its report the bearing capacity and its calculation at depths of 3m, 4.5, 6.0 m and 7.50 metres in case of open foundation and other relevant geotechnical data in case if pile foundation is proposed. Below 7.50 metres, the geo technical soil parameters is to be given at an interval of 3 metres up to end point. vi. Relevant soil samples and rock core samples may be preserved in standard pack and it has to be produced for examination as and when required by Client vii. Preparation and submission of the details of land survey,road details, existing road traffic details, soil investigation details,detailed estimate etc. in a project report format (DPR) printed in high quality A4 size paper and decently spiral binded with cover in 6 sets. Out of the 6 sets, 3 sets have to be fully compiled as one booklet with attached folded copy of GADs etc.and balance 3 sets, the report may be submitted in 2 booklet form-one for the survey, road details and soil investigation and the other booklet for detailed estimate. All the above data has to be submitted in soft copy also duly loaded in high quality CD (3 Nos.) for each LC. (Rate is given for each Level crossing)
