Note-
(a) Contractor has to employ minimum following staff for manning & operation of the water supply installations. (i) One No skilled electrician/ Fitter general mechanic /operator per shift of 08 hours(Total 02 shifts per day) having minimum ITI qualification in respective trade from Govt recognised institute with adequate knowledge with minimum two years experience in maint & operation of water supply installation. The operator must be competent to carry out the minor Maint of water supply installation all as directed by Engr-in-charge. (ii) One No skilled Valve operator per shift of 08 hours (Total 02 shifts per day) havining minimum ITI qualification in respective trade from Govt recognised institute with adequate knowledge with minimum two years experience in maint & operation of water supply pipes & valves. The operator must be competent to carry out the minor maint of water supply pipe line & valves all as directed by Engr-in-charge.
(iii) The contractor shall pay the wages to the electrician/ Fitter general mechanic /Valve operators (as applicable) through e payment i.e Aadhar linked bank accounts(Credit to their bank account). Engr-in-Charge shall ensure that e-payment made to electrician/ Fitter general mechanic /Valve operators and their wages shall not be less than minimum wages fixed by state Govt or central Govt whichever is more. Monthly e-banking statement shall be furnished by the contractor to the Engineer-in-Charge and the same shall be kept in record duly verified. (iv) It is responsible of contractor to deposit the employees provident fund (EPF) to the connected authority as per the prevailing scales as laid down by the Ministry of labour for all Electrician/operator/helper (as applicable) and necessay proof to this regard shall be submitted to GE for verification and records. The quoted rate shall be deemed to be included of above provisions. In case contractor fails to produce the proof of EPF, shall be liable for action as deemed fit. Decision of GE in this regard shall be final and binding.
(v) The contracotr shall maintain all the registers under various labour law rules, 2017 and shall be produced to GE and as well as officers detailed by labour department. (vi) Cost of routine maintenance spares will be measured and paid separately under respective item here in after. However cost of labour is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted above.

(b)Chemicals for chlorination/dozing will be measured & paid saperately under respective items here in below however cost of labour is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted against item No 2 above.
(c) Each shift duration shall be 08 hours & duty timing will be decided by Engr- in-Charge.
(d) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include for daily minor maintenance like checking and rectification of any water leakage ,loose connection,cleaning and general up keep of pump room/ GLR/HTR and area around it.
(e) Power supply for operating the installation will be made available by the department free of cost.
(f) The unit rate quoted shall deemed include for maintenance for earthpits, cutting & removing of vegitation and upkeep of the surrounding area, all around the bldg upto 6m from the plinth protection all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. In case of failure, a penalty of Rs 2000/- per month will be levied and recovered from dues.
(g) The Contractor shall not employ same tradesman continuously for more than 11 months during the Contract period of 11 months.

(h) In case of failure due to absence of operative staff, the contractor shall be liable to pay compensation at twice the cost of a day’s Manning & Operation derived from pro rata rate of Sch ‘A’ quoted rates. (J) Rate is inclusive of test kits & solution for measurement of residual chlorine level (k) The contractor shall provide 02 uniforms to each operator & helper and design of uniform shall be got approved from Engineer-in-charge. In case contractor fails to provide the uniform, recovery @ of Rs 1200/- per uniform will be recovered.
(l) The rate quoted shall deemed to be inclusive of safety gear & required tools for minor maintenance. In case of failure to provide tools kit & safety kit (Gum boots-02 pairs, hand gloves), a penalty of Rs 3000/- will be recovered and levied (m) The operator employed by the contractor shall be capable of carrying out minor maintenance & unit rate quoted shall be deemed to be include for cost of stationery, ink cartidge for printer, cotton waste ,petroleum jelly for battery terminals etc.
(n) The Contractor shall maintain proper records of all kinds of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly or whatsoever maint is carried out during contract period in a binded book / register and shall obtain the signature of Engineer-in-Charge. (o) Cost of stationery is deemed to include in the unit rate quoted against Item No 2 of Sch 'A'. (p) The contractor will ensure general area cleanliness and upkeep of the installation on daily basis.
