The bidder should have satisfactorily completed or substantially completed during the last 07 years, one similar single work for a minimum of 10% of advertised value of the tender. For subletting of work, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of subcontractor is required. In case of a tie, the tenderer having done more value of similar work in the last three previous financial years and the current financial year may be selected for the award. Additionally, a work is considered substantially completed if payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The value of the completed work is considered as the completion cost of work, including the PVC amount (if paid). In case of substantially completed work, the total gross amount already paid, including the PVC amount (if paid), is considered as the cost of substantially completed work. The definition of similar work is any work involving structural steel Supply, Fabrication and Erection/ Launching. For a partnership firm or LLP, the credentials are worked out based on the share of partners, and in case of a merger, the merged company gets the credentials of the other company.
