Technical Capacity
The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed as Prime Contractor or sub-contractor during the last five years at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this requirement.
The bidder should have experience in construction and up-gradation of roads, and should have the capability to complete the works simultaneously by the intended completion date. The bidder should also demonstrate having experience in construction work, either owned, or on lease or on hire, of the key equipment stated in the Appendix to ITB.
In terms of specific values, the bidder should have completed similar works worth at least 1/3rd of the estimated cost of the current work. The estimated cost of the work is 1890.22 Lacs, and the bidder should have completed similar works worth at least 630.07 Lacs, which is approximately 33.33% of the estimated cost of the work.
The experience required for different technical personnel is as follows:
- Degree Holder in Civil Engineering: 2 years for works up to 5.00 crores, 3 years for works above 5.00 crores
- Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years
- W/Supervisor: 3 years
- Lab Technician: 3 years
The bidder should also provide evidence of access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources, certified by a banker, which should be 10 percent of the contract value. The bidder should invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the contract during the implementation of the work.
