Where,
A = Maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year (up to date of inviting tender),
N = Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited,
B = Existing commitments and balance amount of ongoing works with the tenderer.
Technical Capacity
The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed or substantially completed similar works within the last 7 years. The value and percentage of similar works completed are as follows:
- 60% value of single similar nature work
- 40% value of two similar nature works
- 30% value of three similar nature works
The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any of the following:
(i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender,
(ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender,
(iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender.
For subcontractors, they must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years.
Note that for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required.
