The required prior work experience for the bidder involves successfully completing or substantially completing specific categories of work(s) during the last 07 (seven) years. These categories include: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In the case of tenders for composite works, the bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (iii) One similar work each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The required prior work experience is also related to the bidder's financial eligibility, which is based on their average annual contractual turnover. The tenderer must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or 'V' whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work. The average annual contractual turnover is calculated as an average of "total contractual payments" in the previous three financial years, as per the audited balance sheet. The definition of similar work is the construction of any type of rail bridge under a running railway line. Work experience certificates from government organizations or public listed companies with an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years are considered, provided they meet specific requirements. The bidder needs to submit information as per Annexure-VIB, along with copies of Audited Balance Sheets duly certified by the Chartered Accountant.
