The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The works may have been executed by the applicant as a prime contractor or as a member of a joint venture or as a nominated sub-contractor. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission. The bidder should submit a certificate from the employer incorporating clearly the name of the work, contract value, billing amount, date of commencement of works, satisfactory performance of the contractor, and any other relevant information. The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering constructions. The information to be filled in by the bidder includes the total value of civil engineering constructions worked on in the last five years. Specifically, the bidder needs to provide details of work performed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor in the last five years, including the project name, name of the employer, description of work, contract number, value of contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. The bidder also needs to provide quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work, for each year. The required percentage of similar works completed is 90 percent for substantially completed works, and the value should be at least 40 percent of the proposed contract.
