The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering constructions. The required prior work experience includes having completed or substantially completed at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission. The bidder needs to provide information on their experience in similar work, including the value of work performed. The information to be filled in by the bidder includes total value of civil engineering constructions work performed in the last five years, and details of work performed as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works only, in any one year, over the last five years of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. The value of similar works completed should be at least 40% of the value of the proposed contract, and substantially completed works should be at least 90% completed. The annual financial turnover should be equal to the annual value of contract/contracts applied for, with the exact amount specified in the Appendix to ITB as Rs. …….. The bidder should provide quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earth works, and bituminous work. The bidder should also provide information on bid capacity, including works for which bids have been submitted and works which are yet to be completed.
