The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price, and continuing satisfactorily. The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering constructions, including: 1. Total value of civil engineering constructions worked on in the last five years. 2. Details of work performed as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor, including project name, name of the employer, description of work, contract number, value of contract, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, actual date of completion, and remarks explaining reasons for delay and work completed. 3. Quantities of work executed, including year, name of the work, name of the employer, and quantity of work performed for various types of work such as cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work. The bidder should have completed at least 90% of the original contract price for substantially completed works, and should have experience in similar work, including the value of the work performed. The bidder should also have a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works only, in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. In terms of specific values, the bidder should have worked on projects with the following values: - More than Rs.50 lakhs: Two graduate Civil Engineers and three diploma Civil Engineers. - More than Rs.15 lakhs but less than Rs.50 lakhs: One graduate and two Diploma Civil Engineers. - Less than Rs.15 lakhs but more than Rs.5 lakhs: Minimum one Diploma Civil Engineer. - Less than Rs.5 lakhs: Minimum two Diploma Civil Engineers. The bidder should also have a minimum cash investment of up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract.
