The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid having value and formulas is as follows: For Steel: VMS = (Ks x Vg) + Vs EMs = (VMS2 – VMS1) x (S1 - S0) / S0 Where: - Ks = 28.50 (constant representing the percentage cost of steel) - Vs = Cost of all steel lying at site for incorporation in the work - S1 = Wholesale Price Index for Mild Steel (Long Products) as on the date of commencement of the period of reckoning - S0 = Wholesale Price Index for Mild Steel (Long Products) as on the last due date of Bid Submission - VMS2 = Amount of steel up to the last date of the period of reckoning for which variation is adjustable - VMS1 = Amount of steel up to the date of immediate preceding period of reckoning For Other Materials (except cement and steel): VM = (KoM x Vg) + (VOM – VB) EM = (VM2 – VM1) x (W1 - W0) / W0 Where: - KoM = 25.00 (constant representing the percentage cost of other materials except cement and steel) - Vg = Gross value of work done at contract rates up to the last date of period of reckoning - VOM = Value of all materials (except cement and steel) lying at site for incorporation in the work - VB = Value of all materials (except cement and steel) issued under schedule ‘B’ plus value of all materials (except cement and steel) brought and paid or payable to contractor under Prime Cost Sum and/ or Star Rate(s) - W1 = Wholesale Price Index for other materials as on the date of commencement of the period of reckoning - W0 = Wholesale Price Index for other materials as on the last due date of Bid Submission - VM2 = Amount of other materials up to the last date of the period of reckoning for which variation is adjustable - VM1 = Amount of other materials up to the date of immediate preceding period of reckoning
