Iarnród Éireann – Irish Rail is the state owned railway operating and rail infrastructure company. We have a staff of circa 3,500 and have an ongoing requirement to supply PPE to these staff. Staff operate in a variety of roles such as trackside, port operations, depot operations and on board staff. The requirements are broadly broken down into the following eight areas: Footwear – Steel Toecaps Footwear – Composite Toecaps Rainwear Gloves Standard Workwear Specialised Workwear (welding, electrical, chainsaw and similar engineering works) Hi Vis Workwear (includes GO/RT 3279 Railway standard compliant) General PPE (Eye, ear, head protection, etc) The above equipment will be advertised in lots and applicants can select which lot they wish to included for. Applicants can choose any or all subject to providing evidence of their ability to supply the equipment in their chosen lot.

Iarnród Éireann [IÉ] are seeking to enter into an agreement for the Overhaul of the Pneumatic Braking Systems on IÉ’s 2800 DMU Fleet and are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies to participate in a tender process. The 2800 DMU Fleet comprises of 10 x 2 car DMUs which were manufactured by Tokyu Car Corporation (Japan) The brake system was originally manufactured by Davies & Metcalf, which was purchased by Faiveley Transport which in turn was purchased by the Wabtec Corporation in 2016. IÉ have a requirement for the overhaul of 20no. [10 x 2 Car units] brake systems to be overhauled, with a planned commencement date of April 2022.

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking to implement a Network Resource Management Hardware and Software platform. The Applications front end will exist in a Network Maintenance Centre (NMC) environment. The solution backend will exist in a data centre type environment. The system will co-exist in a heterogeneous, multi-vendor environment and will be implemented in the role of parent NMS and primary interface for NMC staff who work in the Network supervisory Role The current NMC Operation consists of staff in the role of Level 1 Triage for multiple technologies and network elements, monitoring Individual screens for each system. The NMC staff watch for faults / alarms by status change on individual NMS screens with a typical day resulting in 40+ faults. The NMC staff log faults assigning the suitable priority for resolution and consult on call system experts for further analysis.
