Iarnród Éireann - Irish Rail is looking for suitably qualified companies to participate in the pre-qualification process for the Removal and Disposal of Creosote Treated Timber Railway Sleepers and Cresote treated Telegraph Poles located at the following; 1. Portlaoise Sleeper Depot, Portlaoise, Co Laois 2. Youghal, Co Cork 3. New Ross, Co Wexford. The disposal process must be in line with the European Directives 76-769 and 94-60 and all other relevant applicable laws/legislation. This contract will have three lots : Lot 1. Portlaoise Sleeper Depot, Portlaoise, Co Laois Lot 2. Youghal, Co Cork Lot 3. New Ross, Co Wexford.

This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann for the procurement of the ‘Supply of Friction Products for CME Rolling Stock’ (the “Contract”). Iarnród Éireann operate a number of rolling stock fleets with differing friction brake requirements (i.e. axle mounted discs, wheel mounted discs, and brake blocks applied directly to the wheel). To reflect the differing friction brake requirements, the tender process has been split into 9 separate Lots. Iarnród Éireann operate a number of maintenance facilities where brake pads and brake blocks are consumed as part of the normal running maintenance activities. In addition, as part of Iarnród Éireann’s heavy maintenance activities, brake pads and brake blocks are also consumed as part of the bogie refurbishment activities. It is intended that the contract(s) awarded from this tender will serve both running and heavy maintenance requirements.

Iarnród Éireann require the services of a multi-disciplinary consultant to carry out the preliminary design/planning, detailed design and construction phases of key elements of the larger Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme. The scope of the proposed contract will include the Double Tracking of the Glounthaune to Midleton Line and other associated works. The contract will comprise all elements of design including permanent way, signalling, civil, structural and environmental design as well as quantity surveying and planning services.

The successful contractor will be responsible for any transport or civil works which may be required prior to removing and installing the cranes, all final measurements will be the responsibility of the contractor. Iarnród Éireann are tendering for the services of a fully managed solution for the provision of Travel Management Services to Iarnród Éireann. Iarnród Éireann (IE) has a requirement for the management of its corporate foreign travel rrangements including flights & accommodation by an independent service provider. The intention is to reduce the costs associated with foreign travel, and to obtain the necessary management information in an accessible format that will assist in the process. On average the service would expect to support approximately upwards of 180 bookings per annum.

Irish Rail “IE” have an on-going requirement for the supply and delivery of the following ribbed baseplates: • Vertical ribbed baseplates Fabricated Steel Grade S275JR (EN10025) or Cast SG Grade EN-GJS-500-7 (EN1563) • 1:40 ribbed baseplates Fabricated Steel Grade S275JR or Cast SG Grade EN-GJS-500-7. Requirements will be on an ad-hoc basis but based on previous usage the estimated annual requirements would be in the region of : 500 no . Vertical ribbed baseplates 5000 no. 1:40 ribbed baseplates

IE have a requirement for services to undertake electro-mechanical relay management within the respective I.É locations. Maintenance requirements will involve; - the servicing of in-service relays to include calibration, testing, provision of new relays, recording, and labelling of surveyed relays. -Creation and management of a relay database - Creation and supply of pre-screened standard operating procedures (SOP) and relay test certificates (RTC).
