IE is seeking to procure a Fixed Penalty Notice Payment & Administration system . The Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail (IÉ), Revenue Protection Unit (RPU) is responsible for ensuring that no fare evasion occurs on any IÉ service and as such is required to create and maintain a database of information pertaining to persons issued with a Fixed Payment Notice (FPN) in course of duty by a Revenue Protection Officer (RPO). A requirement has arisen to provide a new FPN system that will have scope to extend to other operators and CIE group members.

Irish Rail are currently seeking a solution for a customised access control system, mobile app and smart key solution to replace the existing mechanical padlocks and DIN cylinder locks that are currently in place across various locations The purpose for this is to eliminate the security risk of unauthorised access using uncontrolled keys and to give greater visibility of sites and locks that have been accessed. The system will be a traditional lock and key arrangement and shall not require the presence of live electricity. The ideal system would offer multiple site access using a single key that can be activated through a mobile application. The system would have the benefit of offering integration with other 3rd party software that can link work permits, certificates of competency etc.

Treatment of Surface Rail Defects by Rail Milling It is now proposed to again procure the services of an external road/rail vehicle rail milling contractor with suitable equipment and skilled operators to undertake this work. The contractor will also include for all necessary on-shift supervisors, operatives, support staff and support vechicles to carry out the service. All consumables required for the delivery of the service shall be provided by the contractor.

IÉ’s demand will be for exterior panels of glazing units [excl. windscreens] for all of their fleet vehicles, with delivery required to various IÉ locations.

Design, Supply, Install, Maintain, and Monitor a Rail De-Magnetisation System This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of a Rail De-Magnetisation System in Portlaoise Rail and Sleeper Depot. (the “Contract”).

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking to enter into a long-term supply agreement with a specialist company with a demonstrable track record in the Supply of Rolling Stock Paint. The supply agreement will cover the supply of both spray and brush rolling stock paint supplied in volumes no greater than 5 Litres, for all heavy maintenance and running maintenance activities at its Rolling Stock Spray Paint facilities. The rolling stock spray paint maintenance facilities are located at Inchicore and Portlaoise. Full paint product requirements and technical support will be required by IÉ, the paint system must consist of a two-component solvent-based polyurethane coating suitable for exterior application to railway rolling stock. The paint system must have excellent durability, including long term retention of colour and gloss, for a minimum period of 8 years, and must be capable of over painting the existing two pack polyurethane paint coatings.
