The required prior work experience for the bidder includes work of a similar nature performed as a prime contractor over the last five years. The bidder should have completed a similar work with a value of at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work, which is not less than one-third of the contract value. Additionally, the bidder's annual financial turnover should be at least 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. The quantities of work executed as a prime contractor of all main items of work should be provided for the last five years. The bidder should also have executed in any one year, the minimum quantities of the major items of work, usually not less than 40% of the estimated quantity. Furthermore, the bidder needs to provide a certificate of executed quantities of work done in the last 5 years. The value of similar work should be at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work. A minimum annual financial turnover of 67% of the DNIT value in any one year is also required. The cost of completed works of previous years shall be given weightage of 10% per year based on the rupee value to bring them to the present price level. The bidder must also have a minimum cash flow to meet the qualification requirements, and evidence of access to or availability of credit facilities, which is at least 10% of the notified contract value.
