The required prior work experience for the bidder includes work experience as a prime contractor in the last five years, with specific requirements such as: - Completion of works of a similar nature in the last 5 years, with a value of at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work. - Annual financial turnover amount of at least 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. - Execution of quantities of work as a prime contractor of all main items of work, with a minimum of 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. The value and percentage of similar works completed are: - Value of similar work: 1/3rd of the respective value of work. - Annual financial turnover amount: 67% of the DNIT value. - Completion rate of not less than 90% of the contract value for similar work. - Quantities of work executed: 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. Additionally, the bidder should have a certificate of similar nature of work done and executed quantities of work done in the last 5 years, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge. The cost of completed works of previous years is given weightage of 10% per year based on the rupee value to bring them to the present price level.
