The required prior work experience for the bidder includes work of a similar nature performed as a prime contractor over the last five years. The bidder should have completed a similar work with a value of at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work, which is not less than one-third of the contract value. Additionally, the bidder's annual financial turnover should be at least 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. The bidder should also have executed quantities of work as specified, with a minimum of 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. A certificate of similar nature of work done, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge, is required. The bidder should have completed a certain value of civil engineering construction work, and should submit a list of existing commitments with the value of remaining work. The completion rate of similar work should be not less than 90% of the contract value. The cost of completed works of previous years shall be given weightage of 10% per year based on rupee value to bring them to the present price level.
