The required prior work experience for the bidder includes work of a similar nature performed as a prime contractor over the last five years. The bidder should have completed a similar work with a value of at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work, which is not less than one-third of the contract value. Additionally, the bidder's annual financial turnover should be at least 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. The bidder should also have executed quantities of work as specified, with a minimum of 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. The value of similar work is 1/3rd of the contract value. The annual financial turnover is 67% of the DNIT value. The quantities of work are 40% of the estimated quantity of major items. A relaxation in qualification criteria is available, which includes a minimum annual financial turnover of 25% of the DNIT in any one year, and exemption from single similar nature of work performed as a prime contractor, specifically for unemployed Graduate/Diploma Engineers. The bidder is required to submit a certificate of similar nature of work done, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge, and a certificate of executed quantities of work done in the last 5 years, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge. The bidder should also submit a list of existing commitments with the value of remaining work and their financial annual turnover for the last five years. A specific certificate for single similar work/quantity executed in a particular year should contain the full name, address, e-mail address, fax no. & mobile no. of the issuing officer and his head of the department for verification. Milestones for the contract work are also specified, including the completion of 15% of the entire contract work in 25% of the period, 40% of the entire contract work in 50% of the period, 75% of the entire contract work in 75% of the period, and 100% of the entire contract work within the period allowed for completion of construction.
