The bidder is required to have prior work experience in works of a similar nature and size. The required prior work experience includes work of a similar nature performed as a prime contractor over the last five years. The bidder should have completed a value of similar work that is at least 1/3rd of the respective value of work, which should not be less than one-third of the contract value. The bidder should have also satisfactorily completed at least one similar work of value not less than 1/3 (one third) of the DNIT value, with a completion rate of not less than 90% of the contract value. Additionally, the bidder should have executed in any one year, the minimum quantities of the major items of work, usually not less than 40% of the estimated quantity. The bidder's annual financial turnover should be at least 67% of the DNIT value in any one year. The bidder should provide information on the quantities of work executed as a prime contractor for all main items of work described in the bid document over the last five years, including items such as E/W, GSB, WBM/WMM, BM/DBM, SDBC/BC, ICBP, OGPC, and RCC. The bidder needs to provide a certificate of similar nature of work done, completed in the last 5 years, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge. The bidder should also provide a certificate of executed quantities of work done in the last 5 years, issued by the authorized Engineer in-charge, along with the total value of civil engineering construction work performed. The bidder should have evidence of access to or availability of credit facilities (minimum 10% of notified contract value) certified by the bankers. The bidder should have a minimum cash investment of up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract.
