The bidder should have prior work experience in executing works similar to the one being bid on. Specifically, the bidder should have completed a similar work with a value of at least 1/3rd of the estimated value mentioned. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 60% of the estimated cost of the package for works of value up to Rs 200 lakhs and 75% of the estimated cost of the package for works of value more than Rs 200 lakhs. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years, with quantities of work executed as prime contractor of all main items of work described in the bid document. The required prior work experience for different designations is as follows: - Project Manager: B.E. Civil + 5 to 7 Years Exp. - Site Engineer: B.E. Civil + 3 Years Exp. or Diploma in Civil Engg + 5 years Exp. - Plant Engineer: B.E. Mech. + 3 years Exp. or Dip. Mech. + 7 years Exp. - Quantity Surveyor: B.E. Civil. + 3 years Exp. or Dip. Civil. + 7 years Exp. - Soil & Material Engineer: B.E. Civil. + 3 years Exp. or Dip. Civil. + 7 years Exp. The value of similar works completed should be at least 1/3rd of the estimated value mentioned, and the bidder should have executed in any one year, the minimum quantities of the major items of work as indicated (not less than 40% of the estimated quantity). The cost of completed works of previous years shall be given weightage of 10% per year based on rupee value to bring them to the present price level. Graduate engineers will be exempted from qualifying conditions of annual financial year, performance of single similar work, and item work experience, but only up to a cumulative value of Rs. 5.00 Cr within 3 years from the issue of notification on the relaxation.
