Notes for Item Nos. 12 to 13 :-
(i) The depth of boring for piles shall be measured from existing ground/sea bed level/river bed top (as per soundings/reduced levels taken at the commencement of work) to the approved founding level.
(ii) It shall be ensured that the waste bentonite slurry/ drilled or bored material is pumped off from the premises to locations shown by GE by contractor at his own cost. The distance mentioned in description of item shall be the shortest distance from the centre of the building.
(iii) All channels/tanks made for bentonite circulations shall be filled with approved moorum obtained by contractor at his cost after clearing all bentonite cakes.
(iv) The contractor may use any approved method as approved by GE for boring without any extra cost to the Govt. The rates for boring of piles shall be inclusive of any method/ casing that may be used by the contractor for bored piles. Nothing extra shall be paid.
(v) The rates quoted by the contractor shall be inclusive of the rates for the shifting and setting up of piling rig as many times as required.

Notes :-
(i) Design mix shall be as per IS-456-2000 and max size of aggregate shall not exceed 20mm and the slump shall be 150 to 180mm.
(ii) Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately.
(iii) Unit rate shall be deemed to include interalia for preliminary design mix, works test cubes as specified.
(iv) Minimum cement content shall be 400 Kg/ Cu.m. of concrete for M40 (Piles) using Portland slag cement with minimum slag content of 50% (fifty percent) which ever is higher.
(v) Admixture shall be added as per manufacturer instructions. The rate for Admixture Conplast SP-430 A2 or Equivalent shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(vi) The unit rate shall be deemed to include carrying out non-destructive integrity test for 100% of the total number of piles as per IS 14893-2001 shall be done by Government Engineering College / IIT Chennai in the presence of contractor and the test results shall be vetted by the same authorities. Cost of testing including in the quoted rates.
(vii) In case at the time of mix design cement content is increased beyond minimum content given no extra payment will be made.
(viii) Standard manufactured cover blocks as per IS should be used, site cast cover blocks not be used.

Notes for item Nos. 22 to 28:
