[i] The contractor is responsible for making subscription towards Insurance, EPF, ESI, Labour Welfare Cess etc., as applicable and shall pay Gratuity, Bonus etc to the Workmen as per existing Labour Rules / Acts / Regulations and rate quoted shall be deemed to be included for the same. The contractor shall also provide shoes to the workers and the persons shall not be allowed to enter the work site without wearing shoes. Any accident causing Minor / Fatal Injury, Partial Disability due to any untoward incident or non-adherence to Safety and IE Regulations or fault in maintaining of Lifts System / Safety Mechanism or on account of any mishandling / wrong operation / lack of knowledge of safety precautions or on account of any circumstances beyond his/their control, the contractor shall be solely responsible for settling all claims of compensation to the deceased, failing which department will have a right to recover any sum indicated / claimed by Labour Commissioner / Court authorities. No claim whatsoever will be entertained in this regard. No compensation is payable by the department on this account. Contractor shall provide first aid boxes to meet any emergency situations. [l] The contractor shall carryout the comprehensive maintenance of the lifts catered under subject work through the Original Equipment Manufacturer of that lift or from their accredited / authorised agencies only. The lowest bidder shall submit MoU from the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Lift or from their accredited / authorised agencies to provide technical support, trained persons for maintenance & testing and spares before commencement of the work to GE. The spares shall be of the make as per existing or as per the OEM.
