The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - 10 years of experience in construction for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. - 3 years of road experience for a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. - 3 years of experience for a Supervisor. - 4 years of experience for a Science Graduate. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this Sub-Clause. In terms of financial turnover, the bidder should have achieved in any one year, a minimum financial turnover equivalent to: - 60% of the amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs and less, - 75% of the amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is more than Rs. 200 lakhs. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature and size, with a value of at least 60% of the amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs or less. The bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover in any one year, with at least 50% of which is from Civil Engineering construction works, equivalent to 60% of the amount put to bid if the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs or less. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The total monetary value of civil construction works performed for each of the last five years should be provided. The amount put to bid is used to determine the required minimum financial turnover. The bidder should have achieved this minimum financial turnover in any one year, with at least 50% of which is from Civil Engineering construction works. The bidder needs to provide a certificate from a Chartered Accountant and a corresponding payment certificate for the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. The bidder is required to upload scanned copies of certificates showing details of similar nature of works executed. The Bid Security shall be 2 percent of the estimated value of the Works, rounded off to the nearest thousand. The bidder should have executed and received payments for civil engineering construction work in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. The financial turnover achieved on account of execution of road works under PMGSY shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this sub-clause. In Naxal/Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figures of 60% and 75% would be replaced by 50%. 1% of the estimated cost of construction put to tender is the amount for insurance. There is a mention of a performance-based payment for routine maintenance.
