The required prior work experience for the bidder includes specific experience requirements for various personnel, such as: - Senior Bridge Engineer: Minimum 10 Years experience (5 years as Bridge Engineer with Construction & QA/QC experience of at least one bridge) - Site-in-Charge: 5 years experience in Bridge & Road construction or 10 years in Bridge & Road construction - Survey Engineer: 5 years experience - Supervisor: 4 years experience The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The total monetary value of civil construction works performed for each of the last five years should be provided. The bidder must have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar bridge work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal/LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of the work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. The value of similar works completed is considered in the context of milestones to be achieved during the contract period: - 1/8th of the value of entire contract work up to 1/4th of the period allowed for completion of construction - 3/8th of the value of entire contract work up to 1/2 of the period allowed for completion of construction - 3/4th of the value of entire contract work up to 3/4th of the period allowed for completion of construction The bidder can subcontract components of the works for construction/up-gradation, aggregating to not more than 25 percent of the Contract Price. The amount of liquidated damages for delay in completion of works is: - 1 percent of the Initial Contract Price, rounded off to the nearest thousand, per week - Maximum limit of liquidated damages for delay in completion of work: 10 per cent of the Initial Contract Price rounded off to the nearest thousand. The bidder's prior work experience is assessed based on the value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at a rate of 8 percent per year. The available bid capacity for construction work should be equal to or more than the total bid value excluding maintenance.
