The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - 10 years in construction for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. - 3 years of experience in Road Works for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering / Experienced Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. - 3 years of experience for a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. - 4 years of experience for others (Supervisor, Science Graduate). For technical personnel, the required experience is as follows: - Degree Holder in Civil Engineering: 10 years in construction, 3 years experience in road works for field testing laboratory and routine maintenance. - Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering: 3 years experience in road works. - Supervisor/Science Graduate: 3 years experience, 4 years experience. The bidder should have completed similar works of a certain volume over the last five years. The total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited should be provided. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this requirement. The bidder's financial turnover should be at least 60% (or 50% in Naxal/Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts) of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is up to Rs. 200 lakhs, and 75% (or 50% in Naxal/Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts) of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is more than Rs. 200 lakhs. The bidder should invest 30% of the contract price of works by cash during the implementation of the works. The amount of bid security is 2 percent of the estimated value of the works, rounded off to the nearest thousand.
